The Diner Bar is a full-service restaurant and bar with a lively, convivial spirit adjacent to the Thompson Austin’s lobby. Under the guidance of Mashama Bailey and Johno Morisano, the menu features a range of seasonal Southern Seafood dishes layered with local Texan inspiration, such as Shrimp Toast with benne seeds and Seafood Towers with oysters and other favorite raw bar items.

Mid-century modern furniture reflects Bailey & Morisano’s first project together, the James Beard Award winning The Grey restaurant in Savannah, with faded leather booths lining the front windows while a horseshoe bar serves as a focal point at the center of the restaurant. There, our guests indulge in an assortment of oysters alongside vodka and cocktails while selecting bar snacks such as Fried Ugali with salsa macha and Savannah Red Rice balls.
